Daphne Board of Directors Office The 36th Issue December 19, 2011
On the December 17, 2011 morning, Daphne kicked off the 2011 fire drill with first aid training class, at which a teacher from the Wenshan prefectural Red Cross gave practical knowledge of site first aid and interacted with the audience. The employees were shown how to do cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, artificial respiration and 8 bandaging methods, and gave warm applause for the wonderful lecture. At 9:50, as a high siren broke out, emergency evacuation drill started. The employees covered their mouths and noses with masks or towels and evacuated orderly from the office rooms and workshops to safe places. The whole process took only 10 minutes. Shortly after that, the command launched first aids drill. Each department and workshop started their own employees, and found that 10 persons were trapped in the smoky Extraction Workshop. Instantly, 28 first aid persons from the Preparation Workshop charged into the Extraction Workshop, and soon lifted or supported the bandaged wounded out of the workshop to a safe place. On top of that, persons from the Packaging Workshop and Administrative Department carried out their first aid drill. The last drill item was fire extinguishment. As thick smoke and flames rose, the volunteer fire fighters picked up the fire extinguishers and sprayed them at the flames. At last, the fire was put off………At 11, all the fire drill items were completed successfully.
