To concretely strengthen safety education and training, further boost the sense of fire safety among the employees, strengthen the emergency reaction and self-protective ability, and minimize losses that might be caused by fire disaster, pursuant to Daphne Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Yunnan 2014 Safety Training & Education Plan, a fire drill was rehearsed at Daphne on May 31, 2014.
      At 9:00 a.m., leakage of alcohol tank occurred on the extraction platform in the Extraction Workshop, resulting in massive spillage of alcohol. The alcohol flew to the Discharging Chamber under the extraction platform, triggering fire emergency. At 9.05, the fire watch attendant spotted the fire and sent alarm to all departments immediately. The fire siren went off suddenly, Extraction Workshop Manager Wang Tianming checked out the site immediately, and led 15 workshop fire emergency team members (in 2 groups) to the site. They carried fire extinguishers, hoses and nozzles, took a position, closed the valve under protection of water nozzle and put off the fire successively to control the fire engulfing the extraction platform and Discharging Chamber. Under cover of water nozzles, the rest of the employees escaped. Under leadership of their workshop manager Li Jiaqing, another 20 emergency team members from the Preparation Workshop formed a safeguarding team immediately, and carried their fire extinguishers to the fire site to help fight the fire. The clerks of the Production Department, under direction of their manager Tang Jirong, formed a guarding team and implemented guarding measures around the Extraction Workshop. The managers of the Packaging Workshop and lab directed their employees to a safe place through emergency exit. Other office employees also escaped in an orderly manner. At 9.20, the fire was extinguished finally, and all the people escaped to safe place. The officer in charge of rehearsal summarized implementation of the rehearsal.
      The rehearsal gave an opportunity for the employees to experience emergency actions once again, and furthered the emergency skills and reaction of the employees, playing an important role in strengthening work safety and promoting the economic benefits.
