For trauma caused by beating, take 1 or 2 qian (5-10 g) orally, the internal bleeding will stop. It is especially good to take it after being beaten. And it's also good to take it after childbirth. Roughly, this drug is warm in nature, and sweet and slight bitter in taste, being a blood drug targeted at yangming and jueyin points, so it can cure all blood related diseases."

Panax pseudoginseng "soothes and nourishes the blood, stops bleeding, clears arteries, relieves stasis, moves the blood and astringes new blood. It is useful to break blood stasis caused by childbirth, menstruation, trauma and carbuncles. It stops bleeding no matter it is associated with blood vomiting, uterine bleeding, knife trauma or arrow trauma."

"Panax pseudoginseng is widely thought to be warm in nature. I ever took a few grams of panax pseudoginseng powder merely, but didn't feel any warmth brought by it. It is good at dissolving blood stasis and stopping bleeding, being an important drug for bleeding. After curing, no blood stasis will remain in the meridians, and the symptom will turn to consumptive disease (_where large dose is used to stop bleeding, blood stasis will remain in meridians permanently and turn into consumptive disease of blood arthralgia). It is also effective in treatment of hemafecia, women's metrorrhagia, dysenteric hemafecia, and lingering bleeding (it's recommended to be used together with java brucea), intestinal decay, and ulcers. Dark dysentery with strong odor and fatty membrane indicates intestinal decay and upcoming puncture inside (panax pseudoginseng can eliminate decay and promote renewal of tissues, thus may be used to treat it). As it is good at dissolving blood stasis, it is also reputed for treatment of women's ailments and abnormal menstruation. It dissolves blood stasis, without affecting new blood, being a wonderful item for blood regulation. It may be used externally for traumas caused by weapons. Apply panax pseudoginseng powder on wounds, the bleeding and pains will varnish immediately. For trauma caused by slip and fall and with pains in internal organs and meridians, simply apply this, the symptoms will vanish (use vinegar to mix it with same amount of rhubarb powder, and apply the mixture)." When eaten raw, panax pseudoginseng can eliminate stasis, promote renewal of new cells, and eliminate swelling and pains. Additionally, it has the advantages of stopping bleeding without leaving residual blood stasis, moving the blood without harming the new blood. When taken cooked, it can nourish and enhance the body."
