The National Food and Drug Administration Carried out an On-site Inspection for the Panax Notoginseng GAP Plantation Authentication Reexamination of Daphne
Nov. 14 to Nov 16, 2015, the National Food and Drug Administration carried out an on-site inspection for the Panax Notoginseng gap plantation authentication reexamination of Daphne. The experts team inspected the Panax Notoginseng GAP plantation in Daqinghe Base and Haiwei Base in Diansha Township, Xundian County, Kunming City and Pingyuan Street Base and Chongka Base in Yanshan County. In the Daqinghe Base in Diansha Town, the farmers were digging the Panax Notoginseng of three years old. They were so busy working. The experts carefully checked the growing of Panax Notoginseng and the record in the base. After the on-site inspection, the experts believed that the management of the base was standard and the Panax Notoginseng GAP plantation code was complied with. On the next day, the experts team came to the Panax Notoginseng primary processing plant of Daphne and inspected the procedures of selecting, washing, drying and baking and the warehouses. They also examined the plantation record, processing record and employees training files, etc. In the afternoon on November 16, the experts team held a final meeting and confirmed the company's endeavor in the Panax Notoginseng GAP plantation and their achievement. They also pointed out the shortcomings and the deficiencies to be rectified. After the comprehensive inspection, the experts team agreed that there was no serious defect in Daphne’s Panax Notoginseng GAP plantation and processing. An announcement would be issued after the rectification of the defect. Finally, the review committee of standard plantation of traditional Chinese herbs of National Food and Drug Administration would give an assessment.
