Yunnan Daphne Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. conducted a Fire Safety Drill in Summer

       On July 18, 2015, our company conducted a fire drill that focused on fire-fighting rescue and safe evacuation according to the spirit in the Notification on the Safe Production in Summer issued by Safe Production Supervision Authorities of Wenshan Prefecture and Municipality and the practical situation of safe production in our company, in order to strengthen the safe production in summer and deal with various safety production accidents. All the employees were educated on the fire safety. 

      Assumed danger: at 9:40 am, the alcohol drums leaked in the solvent warehouse. The worker generated electric spark when he turned on the light, which lit the alcohol and caused a fire. The split charging workshop and preparation workshop were filled with thick smoke. The fire alarm blared. When the workers in the warehouse discovered the fire, they organized the employees on site to put out the fire first. The responsible person of the preparation workshop organized an emergency rescue team quickly. The team consisted of 12 persons, which were divided into 4 groups to put out the fire in the solvent warehouse and stop the fire from spreading to the split charging workshop, preparation workshop and finished product warehouse. The responsible person of the preparation workshop evacuated the employees through three escapeways in the east, west and south respectively. A fire alarm was sent out from the fire control duty room to the extraction workshop and the administration office through the fire broadcast system. An emergency rescue plan for significant safe production accidents was activated. An emergency rescue headquarters was established, which consisted of the leader in charge of safe production and other responsible persons of other departments. The responsible person of the extraction workshop organized the workshop emergency rescue team to deliver four dry powder extinguishers to the solvent warehouse to put out the fire. Each extinguisher was 35kg heavy. The employees of the market department, project department and the industry company formed a caution team. At 10:05, all the teams participating in the drill got ready and did their own job after the examination of the rescue headquarters. The drill was successfully completed at 11:00.

      After the fire drill, the employees’ capability of dealing with emergency and their safety awareness were strengthened, which laid a solid foundation for the safe production of the company. The proposed goal was achieved.
