      On the June 13, 2010 afternoon, it was so hot that the road pavements were softened in strong sunlight. Guests headed by Vice Director Miao from the Industrial & Information Commission, accompanied by some officials from the prefectural and county Economic Commissions, braved the heat and paid a visit to Daphne on an investigation trip.
      Mr. Zheng, Daphne's assistant to president, gave an introduction to the company's history and product lines at the internal exhibition hall.
      Vice Director Miao pointed out that Yunnan was abundant in special local products, and the specialty industry had not met the expectation. To build up the muscle and expand the business, we need to operate the specialty industry as a brand. It depends on joint effort from the government and enterprises. Leading enterprises should play a leading role in driving development of the local specialty economy. The state government also pays high attention to specialty industry chain.
      Vice Director Miao believes that technological innovation will decide success of a TCM drug enterprise in the long run. He encourages Daphne to work with the universities and academies and transform their technical advantages into own technological innovation and productivity.
