May 15, 2007 was an extraordinary day in the development history of Wenshan Prefecture, on which Simayi Aimaiti, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of the National people's Congress and his wife were present in Wenshan. Despite of their busy schedule, they inspected Daphne Co., Ltd. and attended the foundation-laying ceremony of Panax pseudoginseng Elementary Processing Center of Daphne Co., Ltd. It was great care and encouragement to Daphne Co., Ltd. and great care and support to the Wenshan people as well.
　　Wenshan is the town of panax pseudoginseng and panax pseudoginseng industry is an important support to economic development of Wenshan. The Vice Chairman inspected the product series of Daphne Co., Ltd. and GMP production process. He approved the company’s idea of further development, and agreeably wrote down the epigraph of “Coming from notogineseng but better than panax pseudoginseng”. Later the Vice Chairman attended the foundation-laying ceremony of Wenshan Panax pseudoginseng Processing Center, a key project approved by Economic and Trade Committee of Yunnan Province. The total area of the project is 60 mu, and 0.13 billion yuan is planned to be invested. After the project is built, 660 tons of panax pseudoginseng drinking tablets and 170 tons of panax pseudoginseng extract can be produced annually, and the annual sale income can reach 0.29 billion yuan. The construction of this project shall further improve the quality and level of panax pseudoginseng processing in Wenshan.
　　The Vice Chairman has always been concerned about the economic and social development of Wenshan Prefecture and has given great care and support to the development of the Prefecture. Today despite of the busy schedule, he and his accompany attended the foundation-laying ceremony of Wenshan Panax pseudoginseng Processing Center, which shall have important significance to accelerating the rise of the Prefecture’s panax pseudoginseng industry and enabling panax pseudoginseng industry to contribute more to people’s health.
